By day I build websites. I run Aurelza (aurelza.com), a web development agency, and most of my week goes into designing and building sites for other businesses. I like the work a lot. It also keeps me at a desk.
Travel has always been what pulls me away from the screen. The trips I remember best weren’t the ones with the nicest hotels. They were the ones where I turned up on my own, knew nobody, and left with new friends and a group chat that never quite went quiet.
SoloNomads grew out of that. Travelling solo gives you freedom, but planning every leg yourself and eating dinner alone on the first night can take the shine off. Big group tours sort out the planning, but they can feel like being herded around with a coach full of strangers.
So I started SoloNomads: small group trips for people aged 18 to 40 who want to travel on their own terms, just not on their own. I plan the routes, pick the stays and come on every trip as your Trip Host. Outside India we work with a licensed local agency and licensed local guides, so there’s always someone who knows each place properly.
Building websites for a living has shaped how I run the trips. I want things to be clear and fair, which means a fixed deposit, an honest price and a plan you can read in five minutes.
If you’ve been waiting for someone to go with, come and travel with us. You’ll arrive on your own and leave with a crew.
