India is a big country to plan alone, and most first-time visitors either overreach on how much they can cover or spend so long on logistics that they arrive already tired. Trains sell out, distances are bigger than they look on a map, and the Himalaya runs on a completely different calendar from the plains.
Our India group tours are built around that reality. Every trip is for solo travellers aged 18 to 40, run in a small group with a Trip Host who's with you from the first day to the last. The trains, the drivers and the hotels are sorted, so what's left is the part you actually came for.
Below are our current India trips, from a week in the Golden Triangle to a three-week route north to south, plus Himalayan treks, motorbike expeditions and festival departures.

Your Trip Host travels with the group for the full trip and leads it in person from the welcome dinner to the send-off. Across India, a licensed local agency and licensed local guides deliver the ground services, drivers, permits and on-the-ground logistics that a trip through so many states and altitudes needs, and your Trip Host is still the constant presence for the group throughout.
Rooms are twin-share or small dorms with travellers of the same gender, in a mix of hostels, guesthouses and hotels depending on the region, with private rooms available on request on most trips. Some meals come as a group; the rest is free time to find your own.
If you've got a week, India Golden Triangle covers Delhi, Agra and Jaipur without rushing any of the three. For a longer classic route, India Rajasthan & Varanasi runs fourteen days through the desert, the lakes and the Ganges. Want the south too, India North to South is our full three-week route from the Taj to the backwaters. If the Himalaya is the draw, choose between the road trip and motorbike versions of Ladakh and Spiti Valley, or one of the shorter treks, Hampta Pass or the winter route up Kedarkantha. India Rishikesh & Himalaya pairs rafting and yoga with the mountains in nine days, and South India Goa to Kerala covers the south coast in ten. India Holi Festival Tour is timed to the festival dates, so check departures if that's the trip you want.
India doesn't run on one calendar. The plains and the south (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Rajasthan, Varanasi, Goa, Kerala) are best from October to March, when the heat and humidity ease off. The Himalaya (Ladakh, Spiti, Kedarkantha) runs the opposite way: most of it is only accessible from around June to September, with the winter Kedarkantha trek being the exception built for the snow. If you're combining regions, plan around whichever half of the country is in season for your dates. See our India travel guide for the fuller month-by-month picture.
Our groups are solo travellers aged 18 to 40, some on their first big trip, some who've done group travel before and know it's the easiest way to see a country this size properly. What they have in common is wanting India done well: real routes, a group to share it with, and someone who's done the trip before leading it.
Reserving your place is free. Once enough travellers have joined and a departure is confirmed, usually around 10 people, we email you a confirmation with an invoice for the full trip price, paid by bank transfer in your currency within 7 days. We take USD, GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD, NZD and INR. Prices vary by trip, region and length, so check the individual trip page for current pricing.
India is a common choice for group travel precisely because navigating it entirely alone can be harder than in many other destinations. Travelling with a small group and a Trip Host adds real support, though no trip removes every risk, and we don't claim it does.
Most nationalities need a visa, usually the e-visa, and requirements vary by passport and change over time. Check our India visa guide before you book flights.
Your Trip Host leads the group in person for the whole trip. A licensed local agency and licensed local guides handle the ground logistics, drivers and permits alongside them, since a route across several Indian states and altitude zones needs that local expertise.
Groups are kept small so the trip stays social and manageable, especially on trekking and motorbike routes where a smaller group also means less waiting around. Exact size is on each trip page.
Accommodation, the transport and activities on the itinerary, and a set number of included meals are covered. Flights to India, travel insurance and meals outside those included aren't.
Most of our treks and motorbike trips are built for a reasonable fitness level rather than prior expedition experience, and the physical rating is listed on each trip page. If you're unsure whether a specific route suits your fitness or riding background, check the trip page or ask before booking.
Yes, and it's how most people book. You'll share a twin room or dorm with someone of the same gender unless you pay for a private room, and the group is built from other solo travellers in your age range.
Ladakh, Spiti and the trekking routes go to real altitude, and each trip page lists the route and elevations involved. Talk to your doctor about altitude before booking if you have any health concerns.
Festival-dated trips like Holi Festival India and the shorter Himalayan trekking windows can fill up early, so reserving ahead gives you the best choice of dates. Reserving is free, and the invoice for the full price only goes out once your departure is confirmed.
