    Vietnam Caving Tour

6 days · Phong Nha & the Hang En Cave

Phong Nha Caving Adventure is a 6-day group trip for solo travellers aged 18 to 40, from Hanoi and back. You fly to Dong Hoi for two nights based in Phong Nha, with Paradise Cave, Dark Cave and the Bong Lai valley, then spend two days on the Hang En trek, through jungle and river valleys to camp beside one of the largest cave passages on Earth. Your Trip Host is with the group the whole way, and Oxalis Adventure, the only licensed operator for Hang En, runs the trek itself.

    Is this trip for you?

    Pace
One trek, not a stack of them. One easy show-cave day comes before the two-day Hang En trek, and a free or optional day after it lets you recover before you fly home.
    Comfort
Hotel nights in Phong Nha, with one night camping on a sandbank inside the Hang En cave, in tents with mattresses, pillows and sleeping bags.
    Great if you
want one serious trekking and caving expedition on your Vietnam trip, not a string of easy sightseeing days.
    Rooms
You share a room with travellers of the same gender at the hotel, and private rooms are available on request for a supplement; tents at Hang En are shared.

    Who travels with you

Sarthak laughing as he pets a dog

    Meet Sarthak, your Trip Host

Sarthak's best travel memories come from going solo: hostel dorms, a new activity most days, new cultures and new food. SoloNomads grew out of that.

Sarthak travels with every group, from the first day to the last, so there's always someone on hand to sort things out when plans change and to make sure nobody gets left out.

In every country, a licensed local agency and licensed local guides look after the ground services, so you get local know-how too.
