    Bali & Rinjani Trek

12 days · Ubud, Gili Air & Mount Rinjani

Bali, Lombok & Rinjani Trek is a 12-day group trip for solo travellers aged 18 to 40 built around the hardest and most rewarding thing you can do in Indonesia: climbing Mount Rinjani. You start slow in Ubud, ease into island time on car-free Gili Air, then trek with a licensed guide to camp on Rinjani's crater rim above Segara Anak lake. The trip closes with four nights in Kuta Lombok, for recovery, surf and beach time. Your Trip Host is with you the whole way.

    Is this trip for you?

    Pace
Relaxed but full, with one genuinely tough stretch: five beds in eleven nights, and the trek itself is two long days.
    Comfort
Guesthouses throughout, except one night camping on the mountain in a tent with a proper sleeping bag.
    Great if you
want a real trek as the centrepiece of your trip, not an optional add-on, with island time and a beach close either side of it.
    Rooms
You share a twin or small dorm room with travellers of the same gender, and private rooms are available on request where the accommodation allows it. On the mountain, tents are shared by gender.

    Who travels with you

Sarthak laughing as he pets a dog

    Meet Sarthak, your Trip Host

Sarthak's best travel memories come from going solo: hostel dorms, a new activity most days, new cultures and new food. SoloNomads grew out of that.

Sarthak travels with every group, from the first day to the last, so there's always someone on hand to sort things out when plans change and to make sure nobody gets left out.

In every country, a licensed local agency and licensed local guides look after the ground services, so you get local know-how too.
